Kevin Nahler  > Photography > Links
I'm placing some links here to sites of people and orginizations that I've either met or been in contact with and who have helped me or were/are supportive of my endeavor. So being a big believer in Karma I thought I would add their links here. In no way does this mean that these individuals endorse my photos or my site. It just means that I asked them if I could put their links on my site as a small way of paying them back for their kindness, dedication and hard work. All links will carry you away from my website. Simon Jackson. I met this amazing young man one day in Early June, 2007. I saw him, as he was standing on the edge of the road, leaning on the guardrail, camera in hand, tripod at the ready waiting for a Grizzly w/ two cubs to put in an appearance. He had been standing there all day long. Each time I drove by him I kept thinking how badly he wanted to see that bear and how dedicated he was to do so. After a while I started talking to him each time I drove past. That is how we met. What I didn't know at that time was just how dedicated he really is. Simon's passion for wildlife drove him, at a very young age, to do something that no one thought could be done. He started a movement to save the Kermode or Spirit Bear of Canada's west coast; he is still driving that mission today. His commitment and perseverance give me hope for our future. I can’t encourage you enough to visit the site of the organization that he founded:

California Wolf Center: I was fortunate enough to be put in touch with the CWC and I have donated some of my "work" to the center in hopes of furthering their endeavors of Educating the public on the importance of the conservation of the Gray Wolf and all Wildlife. From their site: "Located in the mountains of east San Diego County, The California Wolf Center, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is a truly unique education, research, and conservation center focusing on the North American gray wolf. We promote conservation of gray wolves and all wildlife through education, exhibition, participation in captive breeding programs, and studies of captive-wild wolves." Please visit their website at:

As most of you may have noticed, most of my photos are from Yellowstone National Park. For those of you that share the same passion that I do for the park or for those of you looking for a place to collect information on the park and it's surroundings you should visit and join Yellowstone Net. It is a FREE site where a lot of people that love the park gather on the web to discuss all aspects of the park and to share their experiences and photographs. I post photos here frequently and sometimes they are ones that will never be on my website.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again here. One of the things that I really enjoy about visiting Yellowstone National Park is meeting a wide variety of people. This Spring I met two of the most unique people that I've met in my life. Fellow photographers and travelers. I spent several days photographing different things with them in the park, sharing stories and experiences. Their stories and experiences far outnumbered mine. They have traveled all over the world, have been and still are for the past 11 years. They are just now setting up their website, so it is a work in progress. But they have some amazing photographs.

Tom Mangelsen: Anyone that knows Wildlife Photography is familiar with Thomas (Tom) Mangelsen. I met him in Yellowstone in June of this year (2007). He is a very considerate, down to earth, talented (goes without saying if you know his work) and passionate individual. He doesn't just photograph wildlife he cares about it as well. You can view Tom's amazing photographs at:

Tom is also the Co-Founder of:

Just one sign of his respect and passion for wildlife.

AJ Montgomery: AJ runs a forum for all levels of photographers. It's a place where you can get honest and educated opinion's about your photo's, share or receive information on everything from Camera's to Software and good places to photograph to what domain hosts are the best. The best part is there is no charge (free) and you don't have to be from the North West to join.
